Radio wave remote controller systems consist of transmitter and receiver units. There are 5 transmitter and 5 receiver products in the TK-868 family. Transmitters differ in size and the number of buttons: transmitters of keychain and creditcard size exist, and there are transmitters with 1, 3, 4, 8 and 16 buttons. (Not all sizes are available with all button layouts.) The TK-868 family of transmitters and receivers both utilize two-way communication. Transmitters acknowledge the execution of the instruction by the receiver's signaling back, not the press of the button. The high frequency (868 MHz) communication allows for high data transfer rate. Every transmitter type is freely programmable, the 16 button model with its buttons too, others via special PC application and/or "cloning" (copying data from a transmitter into an other). An instruction (command) may contain 1 - 5 keypresses. A transmitter can memorize 22 different instructions. Receivers differ in number of channels and the switchable power.
